Chimeric Press is a small publisher of children"s picture books, and is owned and operated by brothers Kevin and Rex White. It is their vision to grow a catalog of picture books that the "big six" will envy, but can not have. It is also their vision to create a marketing plan that is uniquely advantaged to the small press. The niche they are targeting is specialized in a way that large corporations simply can not duplicate! While they are not shutting the door to traditional distribution, they realize that thinking outside the box is important beyond the writing and illustration stages, and is an integral characteristic of effective marketing as well.
They are interested in bringing fresh blood into the picture book market that will increase the quality of what is currently being offered as well as the method in which it is offered. They expect many new authors and illustrators will find their home here.
